Club Vision;
Athlone Hockey Club’s long term vision is to support and actively promotes the game of hockey in Athlone. We provide the opportunity to play hockey to male and female players from the age of 8 up to senior competitive level. Over the last 5 years our club’s membership has grown over at all levels, now with 200 members.
Club Objectives;
· To encourage and develop the game of hockey
· To promote the game of hockey
· To provide and service hockey programs to the local and adjoining communities
· To make hockey an accessible competitive or recreational option for all persons regardless of gender, age, race or religion
· To foster a lifelong approach to team sports in the area
· To affiliate with the Connacht Ladies Hockey Union and it’s parent body the Irish Hockey Association and to take part in league and cup games as assigned by both organisations
